About PTSA

PTSA (Proposal Tracking System for the ATBC Study, pronounced “pizza”) is the submission and tracking system for proposed use of data and/or biologic specimens from the Alpha-Tocopherol, Beta-Carotene Cancer Prevention (ATBC) Study.

PTSA can be accessed by interested investigators through the password-protected website in order to initiate a proposal submission with minimal information (e.g., project title, investigator name and email address, and type of request). Information entered for full proposals can be saved for future additions and modification. Submitted proposals will be reviewed by the ATBC Study leadership and Steering Committee, and investigators will be contacted through the system by email for any required additional information and regarding the decision rendered. Approved studies can be tracked and have study-related information consolidated through PTSA, such as records of Material or Data Transfer Agreements, IRB approvals, sample requisitions, and data support or laboratory information. Periodic study progress reports will be required.
